A Banda Vinil Laranja, que segundo o jornalista Caco Ishac tem um dos melhores hitmakers do rock brasileiro, é bastante conhecida pela sua irreverência. Tem influências de grupos como Queens of the Stone Age, Blink 182 , Foo Fighters e Beatles. O CD Unfaceless Bride é puro rock da primeira à última faixa. É um disco bem equilibrado, guitarras marcantes e bateria inteligente.
As letras em inglês falam sobre garotas, bebidas e (acreditem) noivas sem rosto e freiras que são assassinadas por casos de amor. É claro que perguntei de onde vem tais idéias – da cabeça – recebi como resposta ¬¬. Mas depois Andro me confessou sua paixão por Quentin Tarantino e tudo passou a fazer o mínimo de sentido no momento em que ele me adiantou uma característica do novo CD da banda: “Escrevi a letra ‘Unfaceless Bride’ (noiva sem rosto) fazendo uma neologia com a palavra unfaceless. Tentei fazer uma estória nesse CD, algo como uma opera rock. Não segue uma cronologia, o soldado vai para guerra, a noiva fica sozinha no altar. Depois o soldado vai para o inferno e assim vai... Essa história se passa nas músicas ‘Unfaceless Bride’, ‘Soldier’ e ‘Right’”. Queen of the stone age, Pink Floyd, Korn e Foo Fighters são algumas da bandas que influenciam o som do Vinil Laranja, mas como eu já expliquei, não fica difícil entender as atitudes desses caras depois de algum tempo de conversa, ou vai dizer que Blink 182 não ajuda a entender melhor os meninos?
